I would urge everyone to not get caught up in labels and narrow identities. Keep an open mind and really educate yourself and not fall for media BS hype and false truths.
During this fast my sleep was normal for the first two days, as well as my HRV (Heart Rate variability), until day three when it started to plummet. My body was starting to feel the stress of this extended fast.
I have no problem preparing meals at home where my meal is aligned to my biology and goals, and my kid’s meals are slightly different to be aligned to theirs. But I know myself well enough, that if they were home eating whatever, I wouldn’t be able to make it through a 4 day fast.
Did I have some of my insights because I was in a fast? I am not sure, but I can swear that they did come to me while I was fasting. This is what I found most interesting about the experience.

There is no mind and no body that are separate from each other, there is just us, one being. We do not have bodies, we are bodies. That is the argument the author makes.
Health is not all about Nutrition, Push-ups or attaching Lasers to your head. As I have mentioned previously, our relationships play a big part in our health and that is why I read books on parenting, relationships and emotionally coping with others.
